Spring at Last

Spring has finally decided to put in an appearance at chez peasant. The fruit trees are coming into blossom and the bees are making such a noise it almost deafens you! Good for the honey season though.. it is really sunny, 25°c and no wind..heavenly...need to go and buy the fencing for the goats which arrive next week, getting quite excited about their arrival now despite the fact that they will have cost around 200 pounds sterling by the time you take into account the cost ofthe fencing, the time to put it up and the actual cost of the goats!!!! Still it will be nice to have a couple of animals grazing the land a bit... the third arrives in july when he is old enough to leave his mum. Chickens arrive end may......horses?

aurelius; thank you, still a long way to go but it is nice to see some flowers & colour at last.

rj: almost bearable with a glass or two of homemade rocket fuel i think..

ally: I have no idea about the type of chickens, after discussions with locals who keep chickens the consensus seems to be that the black ones lay the best eggs and the red/brown ones are better for eating & we can buy them at the local farm market. I have found someone not too far away that keeps welsomers though so might go and take a peek.
